About

We believe a little spark can set the whole empire ablaze.

Immigrant artists and muralists,  Jess X. Snow and Layqa Nuna Yawar and friends have created an art store to sustain our practices. Seasonally, we will throw fundraisers where our products benefit activists and organizations on the frontlines of incredible social justice work, and also indigenous-lead art projects. All of our prints are printed by Ocelot Printshop, a community-run screen printing studio in Detroit. With your support, we believe that art can not only inspire your living space and make great gifts, but can also ignite big change, and help us envision a world where families can thrive free of borders, violence and injustice. Please stay tuned as this store expands and we team up with more artists and activists.

Some of the organizations and projects we have supported include:

Colibri Center For The Human Rights: THE MISSING MIGRANT PROJECT. We are a family advocacy organization working to end migrant death and related suffering on the U.S.-Mexico border. We have raised over 2,500 to support their work.

Raices: The Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to immigrant children, families and refugees in Central and South Texas.

Happy Thanksgiving – a Native Film We teamed up with Anishinaabe director, Shane McSauby to launch a print fundraiser where we raised over 8,000$ to fly out Native actors, feed a cast and crew, and bring a short dark comedy into production. Happy Thanksgiving is about a Native American man who takes a happy thanksgiving wish from a bank teller so personally, he takes part in a revenge plan. It will tour the film festival circuit in 2021.
